Hooray, hooray! Ora's autumn menu has arrived! They announced the big news on Facebook, and Alex and I were in the door and seated by 8:30 the first morning it was running!
Known for their stellar coffee, the reason I keep on coming back to Ora again and again is because they've got the tri-factor of all successful cafes 1) great coffee 2) tasty, interesting and seasonal food 3) consistently friendly service.
Alex ordered the house sausage braise with white beans and a fried egg. The sausage is a mild, homely pork blend with a pleasing amount of pistachios, and a subtle lemony touch to the beans saves the dish from being too heavy. The Boy wolfed it down.
I had a wonderful plate of green pea falafel, red hummus, goats curd and a salad of cranberry, faro and quinoa. I also added a poached egg because I was hungry and wanted extra brain food for my marathon study session ahead, but it's a perfectly filling dish without it. Healthy and delicious - cheers Ora!
I see their ultra-popular walnut eggs are still on the menu - I'll be back soon, Arnie style, to try out that prawn toast with whipped avocado!
